Hi John,

No, not PO but one that a close friend of yours is going to produce. The process could be speeded up with monies pledged.

This morning I resisted buying a ghost ark and bought a bottle of Vallejo Japanese uniform instead. A rare moment of common sense

Back from Fiasco with a heavy bag purely as ballast for tonights winds.

Vendel Border Reivers - now back in production, 3 bags to fill a few gaps in the current County militia and the Spanish landing party.
Some Warpaints - different shades of cream and brown, you can never have too many.
BattleFlag - standards for Venice and Florence
Curteys - more feudal mounted for the project that is either Baron's Wars/Albegensian Crusade or Ghelf vs Ghibelline italian (I'll make up my mind one day).
Tumbling Dice - 20mm WW1 British carts
Tumbling Dice - a leetle French Victorian Gunship in 1/2400. reason? Do I have to have a reason?
Offensive Moiniatures - Opel Blitz
Tabletop Workshop - plastic Medieval Chapel. Looks ok, the mortar courses are a little wide but this may be curable.
Treemendus - tree kit
Magnetic sheet

Also, I may be about to give in to Total Battle Miniatures 28mm WW2 buildings - their demo game looked absolutely excellent and I've fallen in love with the French church. Fortunately they didn't have a trade stand at the show so as long as I stay off the internet today I should be ok.

Oh.

Just grabbed DWARF KING'S HOLD: GREEN MENACE from North Star for a tenner in the bargains section. I'll give it to James for Christmas but keep it here to play against him.

It's not a new period if you're "just trying them on for size" is it? OK. 7 packets of Peter Pig vikings, a longship & some of their dark ages buildings. Oh & a tram barricade, for the 895 to Jarrow run.....

I feel better now .....

About 400 painted S Range and Alberken ECW figures from the 70s, along with what I suspect might be Warrior Polish Winged Hussars (generally in a sorry state) and Cossacks.

A nice package from Hannants showed up yesterday, containing:

- the Airfix bomber resupply set. Lots of bits and pieces to liven up my inter war set up
- a Heller VAB for the chief of my Sincamno to ride around in
- a MiniArt freight shed. These Ukranian-made buildings look great but are apparently a bugger to build. Lacking opposable thumbs, any modelling skills or the ability to use glue without getting my fur in it, this should be fun...
- a box each of the Dark Alliance Heavy and Light Orcs on Wargs. Amazing detail on these, my painting skills are totally inadequate, but finally some cavalry for the bad guys.

A recent attempt at a to do list would put these somewhere in the mid-fifties in order of priority. Considering that single line items on that list include such minor tasks as "collect, paint and base 6mm Byzantine and Sassanid armies", don't expect to see these lads in the gallery my time soon.

good luck VB on that postage. OG seems to think that nobody exists outside of the US. Their postage info is pretty much 'trust us'.

That's fine I trust them but I'd like an idea of what the likely cost will be or perhaps an idea of how many packs I can cram into a standard shipping box -if its around $60 that's fine but only if its for a decent sized order and not $30 worth of figures!

I wrote to them a few weeks ago, no reply, then another yesterday. I'll give them a day ot two then might ask at Tango's

Nope- homebrew rules. FoW just doesn't do it for me.

Hi John,

AMG is not for my dad but for my oldest friend, who introduced me to wargaming about 27 years ago...we then moved on with miniatures wargaming later on. Our first armies were Imagination Marlburians.
I will present him the book when we go back to Belgium to visit the family.

I did not even open the book, it is still in its packaging!
Am sure that he will love it as he is a man of the 18th century.

I am glad that you found a game that makes ou happy. I have bought a few recently from the Napoleon at War series.
The first games I played were SPI Thirty Years War, the Pacific battles quadgame, and the Napoleon last battles quadgame.

Bought several boxes of 1:72 PSC plastics yesterday, that brand is impossible to find over here. Soviets, all of it. Pic later.

Not achooally a purchase as such, but Keith from Aventine is sending me a unit of their new Roman Cataphracts to add to my army - carefully selecting the models best suited to a 'later middle' Roman army. Really looking foward to getting my paws on 'em - I've been wanting to have some Roman cataphracts for ages.
