While my own preference would be to join in a big Imagi-nations (18th or 19th century would work) I could put together a simple Warmaster Ancients campaign. People would need their own armies though.

Would that be 20mm ancient?

Well, I do 10-12mm on 40x20 bases. Would look a bit odd against 20mm.

You may have a point.

I've just just thought of a novel tweak to LT's approach. WD3's Strictly Got X Factor Talent!
All the prospective game organisers are people who've never run a WD3 game. Each one gets allocated a mentor and one idea gets voted off in each round. Counselling could take place via another thread or by PM with selected bits published.
Imagine the drama, the false camaraderie of the contestants bonding while hoping the rest fail, the mentors ruthlessly rubbishing each others hopefuls.

I'm picturing Norm in the Cheryl Cole role.
I see Henry as the wise, kindly Uncle Len figure.
I'm thinking about Holly Willoughby :X :X :X ... Excuse me for a moment will you?

Wouldn't Henry be in more of a guiding role? More like Bruce Forsyth.

Nice looking hotel Tim, the first step in convincing Mrs Dog that a trip wouldn't be a terrible idea.

Sadly, I am currently discovering that early October appears to be an insanely busy time for this new job of mine. Will have to change that before next year...

Well we'd love to see you. This part of the country is very lovely at this time of year, and if we get the weather next year that we've had this year you won't regret it. Sadly the date is going to have be what it is to avoid clashes with other events, School holidays and so on. But do try and make the pilgrimage from the great Northern wastes.

They will stop degrading us,

I've provisionally grabbed The Old Dairy so you'll have to knock that off your lists.

I've booked one of the reserved rooms at the Crown. Looks like a nice place to stay and it'll be very handy being in the venue!

I thought by now that LT would have posted some sort of game selection manifesto, with details on block voting rights and how to get your bribes to the right people, perhaps based on the model FIFA used for World Cup 'decisions'.

Book now and remind them every month until they cave and say yes.

Just make it clear that if they don't take them they'll have to go to Uncle Norm.

I've just been told that we may be going on a "special" holiday next year - either 1st week in April, or 1st week in October, depending on when SWMBO's contract expires.

There can't be many people desperate to spend a weekend in East Anglia rather than a week in Las Vegas.......

I've been to Vegas, once was enough. Hoover Dam was good though.

Great Yarmouth has fruit machines
Ipswich has strippers
Colchester has a Caesar's Palace (or did in the 2nd C)

East Anglia matches Vegas in every respect.

And it also has tractors.

Vegas strippers don't start off in wellies. Not that Ronan is going to see them anyway.

I doubt Mr Goat's knowledge of strippers ends at the borders of East Anglia.
