It occurs to me that having asked only people intending to go to vote, everyone else can’t see the voting action. The voting is only set to last 7 days, but in order to build up an entirely spurious sense of excitement I’ll give you the top two in each category so far:

LT
Monmouth – 43%
WW1 1914 – 50%

Gavin
Vietnam – 38%
Battle of Britain – 38%

Tim
ACW 28mm – 25%
Colonial 1880- 25%

I should point out it's not competitive between us , the top one from each persons list goes through. Then we take 50% of each voters third person preference and divide that between the games that came second, then 30% of each person vowel count from their surname which is then divided between the games coming forth and then we take the average of the interger of the sixthzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Checks calendar.

Checks calendar and watch again. 21:17? Pushing it to the wire?

However I'm not a harsh taskmaster (despite what it says on the Vestry walls), a late entry will be allowed (especially for the handsome and dashing Count).

The same for World2Dave - we spoke via PM and I apologised for misreading your original suggestion - if you do want to propose a game I'm open until midnight Sunday.

Thats the 27th. ;)

PM'd you Andy. So there's a possible AWI game on offer from the good Count. As it's a single offering there's no immediate panic, it can wait a week. And it'll have Giles and Ronan salivating :-BD

Some overnight movement in the voting, keep those telephone calls coming!
LT
Monmouth – 38%
WW1 1914 – 50%

Gavin
Vietnam – 38%
Battle of Britain – 38%

Tim
ACW 28mm – 33%
Colonial 1880- 24%
With Normandy 54mm coming up fast on the outside.

On a slightly different topic has anyone taken on organising the accommodation? I intend to attend but would not want to hire a whole cottage. Anyone know what's happening?

Ok, first round voting results are in and if this result is replicated across the whole country I wouldn’t be at all surprised:

LT
Monmouth – 12 votes (46%)
WW1 1914 – 10 votes (38%)
VBCW Imagimilitias – 4 votes (15%)

Gavin
Vietnam – 5 votes (33%)
Battle of Britain – 5 votes (33%)
WW2 10mm – 5 votes (33%)

Tim
ACW 28mm – 9 votes (29%)
Colonial 1880 - 8 votes (28%)

Normandy 54mm – 6 votes (19%)
Tim’s other offerings garnered 2 votes each (6%)

You know how to make a returning officer’s life hard don’t you :YMDEVIL:

So going through to the next round, I’ll take all three of Gavin’s games plus LT’s Monmouth 28mm and, given the closeness of Tim’s vote, both the ACW 28mm and the Colonial 1880 option.
Next voting round (these choices plus all the others and a possible late submission – depending on how Operation DIY goes ;) ) will go up Sunday evening.

LT any ideas how you are going to structure the final selection process ? Do we know the capacity of the room and how many games will fit etc ? I bow to your bureaucratic superiority.

Simon, have no fears. The room is big enough, and could probably take at least three largish games, certainly one huge game and definitely four to five smaller games. Whilst it's not as big as Ayton village hall the space is there. I suspect that once the menu has been chosen I will get my head together with LT, providing of course he is not wearing a very silly three cornered hat, and we will allocate table space etc.

They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
We shall be victorious.

Isn't a tricorne mandatory for voting returns officers?
