Looks fantastic -- congratulations all! That's a great looking table and some great looking miniatures on it too! And peeler sent me a pic of a heffalump, and mentioned hyenas too! Sounds like Paul's been having some umpiring fun.

And now its all over. Today went far too quickly. I failed to get into the village, I was held up by an elite Btn armed with lewis guns. That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it.

Great game, my thanks to Paul for making it happen, and to the other gamers for their good company & pleasant gaming.

Just one more evening of feeding & maybe a pint or three ... :d

Just landed at home after an excellent weekend's gaming. Many many thanks to Paul for arranging it and as you can see from the pics above the table (and venue!) were excellent. And as ever, so was the company. Much fun was had on all sides though a fair bit was directed at EB, mostly because his troops seemed to do a lot of the fighting! I will try and get some pics up tomorrow night but now I'm off to bed. It being 11:45 I fully expect Peeler and EB to be sat in the Black Watch Pub pushing last orders to the limit!

Thanks again to all concerned. It was wargaming as it should be.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made the trip north of the border. As always a great bunch of chaps who made the whole weekend (not just the game) a pleasure.

I think he meant 'EB's troops mostly got beaten up' !
Their method of fighting seemed largely confined to 'slapsies'.

I think you do a great disservice to the troops of the Gateway Alliance who fought a valiant action on the right flank against all that could be thrown at them! Unlike the left flank where Peeler spent the whole game being held up by one small unit behind a hedge and four guys with pointy sticks! :)
